Jason Bicko
Jason began writing at the age of twelve when his father started a writing course. It was the only childhood passion that survived the teenage years, school, entry into the adult world, a host of fun but useless college courses (including astronomy - never yet seen a listing for ASTRONAUT WANTED in the employment pages!), and jobs including barman, garden labourer, care home kitchen hand, slot machine engineer and bingo caller.
He enjoys rambling, boxing, video games, stand-up comedians, and of course reading and writing. His favourite authors are Stephen King, Fredrick Forsythe, Ken Follett, Ian Rankin, Dean Koontz, James Herbert, Stephen Leather and Jeremy Clarkson. His short stories have been published online in magazines such as Storyhouse, Amber Willow, and Starvingarts. He hopes one day to outsell the Bible and the Harry Potter series, but will be content to shift more copies than A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE JAPANESE KNOTWEED.
